How do I buy tickets in advance for the festival?
You can purchase them online starting September 17, on this website. From September 26 – October 7 you can buy tickets in person at our Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival Box Office located in the lobby of 12th Avenue Arts, 1620 12th Ave (on Capitol Hill). This box office will be open everyday (including the weekend) from 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
Where do I pick up tickets I bought online?
Once you buy your tickets online, we encourage you to simply save them to your smart phone. You can also print out your tickets at home, or pick up tickets at Will Call at any festival Box Office location, including the Pre-festival Box Office at 12th Avenue Arts (info above).

Can I buy advance tickets with cash?
Yes! Cash sales can be done before the festival at our Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival Box Office location (see answer to question 1, above).
How do I buy day-of-show tickets?
You can purchase tickets for any screening online up to one hour before the show’s start time. You can also buy them at any venue Box Office. Box Offices open 30 minutes before the first show of the day.
When does the box office open?
Box office and will call open 30 minutes before the first screening each day. On Opening Night, the box office opens one hour in advance.
Where can I pick up a festival program?
Programs will always be available at our Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival Box Office at 12th Avenue Arts, as well as at festival venue locations: Northwest Film Forum, SIFF Cinema Egyptian, AMC Pacific Place, and Gay City. They are also available at many other cafes, bars, restaurants, and Scarecrow Video.
Are there any free screenings at the film festival this year?
Yes. Two programs at 12th Avenue Arts are free to the public: EMERGING AS AN LGBT FILMMAKER and THE CELLULOID CLOSET. They are on Saturday, October 10. REEL QUEER YOUTH is also a free program for youth 21 and younger...it is $5 for all other audience. To guarantee a seat for any free program, a ticket should be “purchased” in advance (either online, or at a box office location). There are no fees for free tickets.
Also, if you sign up to volunteer for the festival, you can earn a free film voucher for each shift worked.
Do you have any discounts or specials?
Yes! We have a Six Pack Special (buy 5 tickets at one time, and get one free ($12 or less), Thrive@5 films ($5 films, at 5:00 PM on weekdays), GAYBY BABY ($5), and the free programs mentioned above.
Do you have discounted tickets for youth, seniors, disabilities?
Yes! Youth, seniors, and those with disabilities can purchase tickets for any regularly priced program ($12), for $9 at any walk-up Box Office location (including the 12th Ave Arts Box Office before the festival). Seniors are 65 and older, youth are 21 and younger.
We are also the first LGBT organization to be a member of Teen Tix. Teen tix members can purchase discounted tickets at all screening venues, day-of-show only. Learn more about teen tix here.
I bought tickets for a screening and changed my mind, can I return them?
No. There are no refunds or exchanges unless there is a program cancellation.

Is there parking?
Street parking and pay-to-park lots can be found around all of our venues. Two notable garages (with fees) are the Seattle Central College Parking Garage next to the Egyptian and the Pacific Place underground parking garage. That said, any event drawing hundreds of people may lead to a challenging parking situation. We encourage you to carpool, take taxi or car service, walk, ride your bicycle, and use public transit.
