ALL IN THE FAMILY: SHORTSLIFETIME GUARANTEE: PHRANC’S ADVENTURES IN PLASTIC

Wednesday, October 23
7:30pm
Rendezvous: Jewel Box Theatre

Everyone’s favorite all-american, Jewish lesbian folksinger is back on the scene, but is that a guitar she’s slinging...or a lettuce crisper? Phranc is best known for her irrepressible style and progressive songs like "Do the Bull Dagger Swagger" and "I Don’t Like Female Mud Wrestling," but recently she’s become one of the most successful Tupperware ladies in the biz (and by far the most butch). Despite some hurdles of homophobia along the way, Phranc’s wit and winning personality, the qualities that have helped her win fans for years, have also allowed her to sell the product that "keeps yesterday fresh for tomorrow." Throwing "traditional" Tupperware parties for unquestionably non-traditional attendees, Phranc works just as hard to open minds as she does to tightly close those plastic seals.

Playing with BAR TALK. What’s really being said with all those furtive glances across a lesbian bar?
