DREAMBOY

Saturday, October 19
3:30pm
Richard Hugo House

The Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival is proud to present a script reading of DREAMBOY at Seattle's literary center, Richard Hugo House. DREAMBOY is a new script by James Bolton, whose debut feature, EBAN AND CHARLEY, screened at this festival in 2000.

Nathan's family moves to their rural farmhouse on Potter's Lake to leave behind a troubled past. A shy younger student, Nathan is surprised to be befriended by popular, senior boy-next-door Roy Connelly, and he eagerly joins in the rowdy fun of Roy's buddies. As Nathan and Roy's friendship develops into passion, Nathan's dreams of escape seem nearly within reach. But the haunting histories of both North Carolina's plantations and his own family are not so easily erased in this Southern ghost story about the pleasure and pain of first love.

DREAMBOY was developed with support from the Other Voices Film Fund.
