Viva la mullet! The short-in-front, long-in-back hairstyle has raised many an eyebrow, sparked endless party chatter, and spawned numerous websites and passionate fashion commentary. Throughout this hilarious and hair-raising documentary, AMERICAN MULLET gets to the heart of this thorny issue by interviewing an assortment of mulletheads from all walks of life - including rockers, jocks, bikers, a celebrity impersonator, Native Americans, and of course, lesbians who are beyond "girly hair." Director Jennifer Arnold (MAID OF HONOR) captures the spirit and symbolism this haircut embodies for the people who love it and comb it with pride. By program’s end, you may find you have a new outlook on this little-understood fashion choice yourself!
Playing with CHICKEN. Somewhere in rural Arkansas roosts the CHICKEN. "Homo queer" student Josh questions the boundaries of small-town living. But before he can leave, Josh must first photograph the perfect picture for the upcoming school exhibit...and avoid the school bully. Will Olga and Kitty, the local gender illusionists, save the day?
